Research Associate (Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. The successful applicant will join Dr. Joni Teräväinen and work on the ERC project "Analytic number theory and higher order Fourier analysis", focusing on aspects of analytic number theory, additive combinatorics and/or ergodic theory.

Duties include conducting individual and collaborative research projects. The role holder will plan and manage their own research and assist in the preparation of proposals and applications to external bodies. They will take an active role within the research group, including participation in and delivery of seminars relating to the research area.

The successful candidate will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in Mathematics, and will have relevant experience in analytic number theory, additive combinatorics and/or ergodic theory. An interest in working on at least two of these areas would be advantageous, but not essential.
