Working closely with colleagues from across the University and external partners, Student Experience and Support deliver integrated, coordinated activity and support which empowers, supports, and encourages students from all backgrounds to maximise their time at university and realise their full potential.
What will the role involve
Based within Student Support, the Respect, Culture and Behaviours (RCB) Manager will report to the Head of Student Support and work closely with other managers within the student support service area. The Respect, Culture and Behaviours Manager role is integral to the delivery of an excellent, rounded student experience, rooted within our commitment to ensuring all students receive the support they require to achieve academic success.
The postholder will lead the delivery of effective, consistent, and efficient working practices across sexual violence, domestic abuse, racism, bullying and microaggressions. The RCB manager will be required to ensure adherence to a range of internal (and external as appropriate) regulations, policies and procedures which support and/or underpin student safety across their journey. Within this role, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring continuity across all areas of activity as part of the wider safe campus agenda to include student facing activity, partner engagement / relationships and education and training for staff and students.
What are we looking for
We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in a relevant setting where partnership working is fundamental to service excellence. The postholder will work closely with various partners and stakeholders internal and external to the university to ensure appropriate measures, arrangements and agreements are made to enable students to fully participate in the academic and social aspects of university life.
To meet the challenges of this role, the role-holder will work closely with colleagues in QMO, schools and student support teams to ensure clear alignment of service-related regulations, policies, and procedures are fit for purpose and under regular review through a programme of continuous improvement.
A key requirement of the role is to oversee and monitor delivery of all student facing activity of the respect, culture and behaviours team ensuring service standards remain high and student centred.
