We are looking to appoint an International Student Recruitment and Engagement Manager. This is a new role as we increase student numbers on our UK campus, and it represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to put their full mark on the role from the beginning. It is an interesting and varied position suited to someone with a background in International Student Recruitment and student support on campus.

PHBS UK Campus was established in Boars Hill Oxford by Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) in 2017. The Campus currently offers various postgraduate courses in Management and Finance. Peking University is the oldest University in China and ranked by QS 2025 as 14th in the World. PHBS is one of the most internationalised business schools in China and ranked 1st by QS in Finance and Management studies within Asia.

The role encompasses the following three areas:

International Student Recruitment 

For postgraduate students to join our two-year cross border study program. It requires the development of strategies to engage with international students, along with building solid relationships with organisations and institutions to enable the provision of a pipeline of future students. Knowledge of the visa processes will be an advantage. You will work alongside our Shenzhen campus who set overall standards for recruitment.

Social Media and Promotional Management

To promote the PHBS UK brand to enable the full function of recruitment and then engagement throughout the lifecycle of the student’s time with us. Creating content, managing metrics to improve strategies and organising online events and webinars. Managing social media and other promotional activities for the UK campus.

International Student On-Campus Support

You will act as the first point of contact for all international students in navigating studies, accommodation, welfare, and general support as required while the students are with us in the UK. This is an important part of the role ensuring our internal standards are met, students are well looked after and happy and engaged while in the UK. Working closely with admissions and academics to ensure a seamless experience for our international students and setting high standards that are synonymous with Peking University.

You will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree although a master’s is preferred, with 3 – 5 years relevant experience within a higher educational environment working directly with international students understanding their needs and challenges. In addition, familiarity with digital marketing tools, including google analytics, email campaigns and social media management platforms is essential.

A knowledge of Mandarin or other languages would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
