We are looking for a talented team player to join us at the University of Salford as a Digital Marketing Assistant.

We’re seeking a superb all-rounder – someone who’s an analytical and strategic thinker, creative with original ideas that resonate with our audiences, skilled at writing effective copy, and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

In this key position, you’ll work closely with the Digital Manager on a range of exciting brand-level campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and essential business-as-usual activities. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered seamlessly, and digital marketing activities are implemented and optimised effectively.

We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude, excellent communication and project coordination skills, and a genuine desire to make an impact.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but supportive team, grow your skills, and play an active role in shaping the future of our digital marketing.

Key responsibilities

Here are just a few of the opportunities you'll have in this role. For the full list, please refer to the attached job description.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Manager and marketing team: Work closely with colleagues to bring campaigns and digital projects to life, ensuring that we reach and engage the right audiences.
  • Analyse campaign performance: Assess how our campaigns are performing and use your insights to optimise strategies and maximise return on investment.
  • Create engaging content: From copy to images and videos, you’ll develop compelling content that resonates with our audience and enhances campaign effectiveness.
  • Research competitor campaigns and digital trends: Keep your finger on the pulse of the higher education sector by analysing competitor campaigns and digital trends, identifying opportunities for us to stay ahead.
  • Uphold our brand: Ensure that content across our partner platforms aligns seamlessly with our brand identity and effectively communicates our messaging.
  • Stay informed about industry trends: Keep learning and growing by staying up-to-date with the latest trends and insights in digital marketing, using them to continually improve our campaigns.
  • Build your skills: Embrace the chance to develop your expertise in digital marketing tools, technology, and emerging trends, making sure you stay ahead of the curve.

Sound like you? If so, we want to hear from you! But if you’re not ticking every box, don’t worry – we still encourage you to apply. We’re looking for someone with the drive, potential, and passion to succeed – and we’ll provide the mentoring and support you need to thrive.
