Technical Strategy & Operations
This new full-time term time post is available immediately on a permanent basis, in Technical Strategy & Operation Services, within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
This post will be contracted for 40 weeks per year to cover the term time activities of the University.
Summary of the role:
The Assistant Technician position will primarily support the technical teaching team within the Biosciences laboratories based in the Geoffrey Pope Building on Streatham campus. https://biosciences.exeter.ac.uk
The post will provide general support to the teaching activities of staff and students within the teaching laboratories. This role exists to support our Academics in a non-teaching capacity, to enable our academics to deliver their teaching from 08.30am until 18.30pm (our extended teaching day), the timetable may require the need to work on Saturdays. The post is full time (36.5hrs per week) and the working pattern will include a start time of 8.00am and/or a finish time of 19:00pm including Saturdays at agreed times as part of a staffing rota.
