We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Scientist and Cell Production Lead to join our Biotherapeutics & Advanced Therapies team in the Research & Development function within the Science, Research & Innovation group.
Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: ensuring effective service delivery by carrying out banking and quality control testing of human embryonic stem cells according to UKSCB standard operating procedures, providing scientific and technical input into the banking programme, and preparing cell culture media and specialist reagents.
The successful candidate will have:
- BSc or MSc in cell or molecular biology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of working with under HTA (Human Application) and/or GMP.
- Extensive practical experience of pluripotent stem cell cultures and of other mammalian cell types.
- Extensive practical experience of molecular and cell biology, including microscopy, flow cytometry and qPCR.
