Elevate (Elevating marginalised voices through EDI codesign) project is a BBSRC-funded project seeking  to build on the success of the EDI (Equality/Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) implementation within the UKRI Agrifood for Net Zero network+ project (https://www.agrifood4netzero.net/) and for the wider research and practitioner community

Elevate began on 1 October 2024 and will run until 30 September 2025 and is led by Professor Angelina Sanderson Bellamy and Sophie Constant within the School of Applied Sciences.

You will be the primary contact and administrator for Elevate, as well as support (and lead, where appropriate) the delivery of the following set of activities:

  1. EDI Network and platform to elevate marginalised voices in the agrifood system (with applicability across other systems and sectors)
  2. Eight virtual events focused on EDI themes and an in-person ECR event
  3. Improved research, monitoring and reporting
  4. Network of Network events to support training of other Networks on implementing EDI best practices

You’ll ensure delivery of a professional service through project oversight and monitoring of key project targets. You will be responsible for project oversight and monitoring of key project targets. You’ll be required to compile project reports detailing assessment and analysis of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across project activities using data generated by project partners

You’re proactive and organised to provide high level support to facilitate the running of activities across several projects that intersect with EDI, and will be required to interact with several project teams. You’re a key contact for members of these different teams.  You will need to work inclusively across the projects to represent the University with integrity and professionalism at all times. The work will be varied and you will need to be organised and to be able to multitask effectively.

This is a part time, fixed term role, until 30 September 2025, working 18.5 (0.5FTE) hours per week.

This role is campus based for at least 20% percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.

You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK, please refer to the Home Office Right to Work Checklist for information on which documents are acceptable.

We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role under the Home Office Skilled Worker visa route. If you do not have current right to work in the UK you may wish to explore other visa options.

UWE Bristol does not cover any visa or health surcharge costs.
