About us

The ISEH was established in 2013 with a grant from the Department of Health as a major legacy project from the 2012 London Olympic Games. It is a partnership between UCLH (University College London Hospitals, NHS Foundation Trust), HCA Healthcare UK, University College London, the UK Sports Institute, and the British Olympic Association. It is also a founding member of the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM).

About the role

The holder of this role will primarily focus on teaching exercise physiology, scientific research methods and related topics in Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences, ensuring a high standard of education for undergraduate and postgraduate students within the UCL Connected Curriculum framework. This will involve leading multiple modules with high practical elements and supervising student research projects. This is a full time post.

About you

The post holder must have a Degree in a field relevant to Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences (e.g. Medical Sciences, Biology, Natural Sciences, Sport Science and similar. Psychology, Neuroscience and allied fields are also considered if the candidate can demonstrate evidence of an appropriate application of exercise science).
PhD qualification (or in final stages of preparation), or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications.
The successful candidate must have relevant teaching qualification or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (A/FHEA).
Experience in data collection, management, analysis, and presentation.
Managerial experience would be advantageous.
