Location: London or Birmingham Campus (with regular travel to other UWTSD location as required)
The Institute of Inner-City Learning (IICL) is one of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s (UWTSD’s) four Institutes with campuses in Birmingham and London, with plans for further expansion to other UK cities. The IICL operates a multiple intake model of currently 3 intakes per campus, per annum, and delivers continuous learning, teaching and recruitment cycles for 51 weeks of the year (3 x 17 weeks).
The IICL operates in an intensely competitive inner-city and culturally diverse HE environment and currently has approx. 6000+ non-residential students on programmes ranging from level 4 to level 8, delivered on weekdays and weekends.
We are looking for an Assistant Dean (Quality and Enhancement) to join IICL on a Full-time, Permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This post is an integral part of the UWTSD academic quality and enhancement management team and will work across all IICL campuses. The post holder will support the IICL Senior Management team and provide leadership in particular within the areas of academic quality assurance and enhancement of the student learning experience.
The post holder will provide leadership and steer on behalf of the IICL on the following areas in collaboration with the relevant professional services:
Main duties will include:
- The National Student Survey (NSS), Graduate Outcomes survey and other national surveys
- Processes and procedures for ensuring IICL compliance with central University regulations
