We have an opportunity for a senior clinical academic in Paediatric Dentistry to join our team in the School of Clinical Dentistry. In this role you will make a key contribution to the School’s research and teaching ambitions and join a team committed to improving oral health. Clinical activities will include the management of children requiring specialist paediatric care, including multidisciplinary care of those with complex dental and medical needs.
We may appoint at Senior Clinical Lecturer (SCL) or Senior Clinical Teacher (SCT) depending upon the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
For appointment as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, you will have a strong track record of research and will be given encouragement and support to develop your research within one of the research groups in the School. You will have a PhD or equivalent, a track record of research with high quality publications, grant income and evidence of independence as a researcher. At SCT level, the primary responsibility of the appointee will be to take a leadership role in the delivery of paediatric dentistry teaching and learning to dental students and the whole dental team. In addition, the SCL will be expected play a key role in the School’s world-leading research programme.
For appointment as a Senior Clinical Teacher, you will have significant experience and expertise in learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will have a strong track record of innovation, development and delivery of learning and teaching including curriculum development and leadership. You will have a higher degree and evidence of scholarship.
You will be clinically qualified and will have completed your specialist training and be on the Paediatric Dentistry specialist list of the General Dental Council.
