About the role
You will be someone with sufficient legal knowledge and experience to quickly grasp new and emerging areas of specialism as required by the University’s diverse remit. You will advise the University on a range of legal matters (for example, intellectual property rights, data protection, IT, procurement, charity law, company law and consumer law with some estates support) and draw upon your contract drafting and negotiation skills and experience to support our academic and professional services colleagues across a range of areas including research contracts, international collaborations, alternative education provision, apprenticeships, student exchanges, education contracts, student recruitment, academic partnerships and other related contracts.
About the department
Our Legal Services and Corporate Governance team provides high quality legal advice and support to the University and its subsidiary companies. We work closely with the University Board, the Executive and all Faculties and Professional Services to manage a wide range of contractual and other legal risks. We also provide high quality corporate governance support to the University Board and its Committees.
