The purpose of this role is to assist the Centre Administrator in providing administrative support to the organisation and running of the University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies (UCCGS) and to participate in the expansion of its activities. The post involves assisting with the activities of the Centre including its two postgraduate courses (MPhil and PhD), its expanding research programme and its large public events programme as well as general committee, website, communications and administrative duties.
There are fifteen Administrative Assistants to the Department supporting all aspects of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. This role is key in supporting UCCGS and plays an important role in the Department's administration.
Educated to at least A-level standard (or equivalent) you will have relevant administrative experience in a role which has required you to prioritise, multi-task and pay close attention to detail. You must be organised and able to work autonomously, possess a lot of common sense, an unflappable nature, and a pro-active approach to challenges.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 9 September 2029 in the first instance.
