Aston University is offering an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area on their journey to reducing carbon footprints. The Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) Decarbonisation Net Zero Pilot Programme is a collaborative effort, combining the expertise of a dedicated team and interdisciplinary academics, led by Professor Prasanta Dey and Project Manager Martin Grant. Based at Aston Business School, this programme is part-funded by the WMCA and is making a tangible impact in the region's transition to net zero.
We are seeking two Business Engagement Managers to lead ongoing low-carbon business support activities across Birmingham and Solihull. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in engaging businesses with the programme, identifying opportunities for sustainable transformation, and facilitating impactful initiatives to reduce carbon emissions.
