Peking University is among the top higher education institutes in China. Peking University HSBC Business School UK Campus (PHBS-UK), as part of Peking University, was established in 2018 and is located at Boars Hill, Oxfordshire. PHBS-UK aims to foster and cultivate visionary international business leaders for the new global economy by offering a global education with in-depth Chinese and Asian perspectives.
PHBS-UK is seeking to appoint Senior Lecturers/Lecturers in Finance. The position entails offering high-quality teaching, with a typical teaching load of 4 courses per academic year.
The ideal candidate will design and deliver well-structured courses that integrate foundational theories with current industry trends, equipping students with the skills and knowledge essential for their careers. A key aspect of this role is the ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, cultivates problem-solving abilities, and emphasizes the practical application of financial concepts. Promising research potential, supported by a well-defined plan for future inquiries, will enhance a candidate’s profile.
We welcome applications from candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree in Finance (or expect to receive one before July 2025) and have evidence of excellence in teaching and a developing track record of high-quality research publications.
Successful candidates are expected to start by September 2025. We strongly encourage people of all backgrounds (gender, ethnic background, nationality) to apply. Priority will be given to British Citizens or permanent residents (i.e., indefinite leave to remain or 'settled status' in the UK).
These posts are full time and open-ended. Additional information on Peking University HSBC Business School UK Campus is available at https://www.pku.org.uk.
