About the Role
The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced manager to lead the professional services operations of the School of Life Course & Population Sciences.
Reporting to the Faculty’s Director of Operations and the Head of School, you will work closely with them and the School’s Executive team to develop and implement the School’s academic strategy. As an important member of the School’s leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering the operations of a highly ambitious research and education portfolio.
You will be responsible for the provision of outstanding operational support to academic activities, for leading the School’s professional services team with a sense of cohesion and common purpose, and for collaborating with colleagues in King’s central directorates to ensure seamless support of the School’s activities.
You will represent the School at relevant meetings in the university and with external partners/stakeholders, deputising for the Faculty’s Director of Operations when required and contributing to projects that have impact across the wider university.
The professional services operations include technical/laboratory support, HR, finance, education including short course and postgraduate research programmes and student support, research grant management and knowledge transfer.
