The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a student focused Associate Lecturer to teach, assess and support learning of Postgraduate/Undergraduate students in the field of Tourism and Hospitality. In addition, there are opportunities to supervise students’ research projects.
We would like to hear from experts who can provide lectures, seminars and research supervisions.
The main modules include:
You need to have previous experience of working in Higher Education as a Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality as well as a Master's Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in this subject area. The ability to relate your teaching to a practical setting via exceptional communication and presentation skills is required. In addition, you will have significant experience of online and face to face teaching within the Higher Education Sector and experience of using apps / platforms alongside practical or classroom-based learning.
Previous experience of supervising students’ research projects and a teaching qualification/HEA fellowship would be advantageous.
