We are seeking a highly organised and professional individual to join our team as a secretary, working under the Executive Assistant to the Head of Department. This pivotal role will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Deputy Head of Department and the Director of Postgraduate Studies.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing complex diaries, handling enquiries with the utmost professionalism, and coordinating expense claims. You will meticulously organise programs for visiting academics, ensuring that all arrangements are in place.
You will have exceptional organisational skills, which will be essential when managing departmental committees, booking venues, compiling agendas, and recording minutes. Additionally, you will support the organisation of conferences and events, maintain departmental webpages, and produce informative updates and bulletins as required.
Data management will be a key aspect of your role, and you will assist the Executive Assistant with various Head Office functions and provide cover during periods of absence.
Your office will be based in the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre, but you may on occasion also be required to work in the Cambridge University Hospitals or the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart & Lung Research Institute, all of which are located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
We offer a friendly and supportive working environment, with ample opportunities for professional growth and development. This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with both senior academics and Professional Service Staff, and to contribute significantly to the efficient operational needs of our department.
If you are a dedicated and adaptable professional seeking a challenging and rewarding role, we invite you to apply and join our dedicated team.
