The Civic HealthTech Innovation Zone (CHI-Zone) is being established to accelerate the growth of the health and life science sector, upskill residents and create jobs for the Liverpool City Region.
As Innovation Manager you will work closely with >100 local entrepreneurs and SMEs to accelerate the development of leading-edge health and care technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, and manage innovation partnerships.
As a key member of the Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL) team, you will work under the direction of Dr Annemarie Naylor, Director of HealthTech and Innovation Growth, to manage a portfolio of projects and design/administer CHI-Zone grant programmes. You will, also, support colleagues to develop and implement strategies for engaging key stakeholders and supporting collaborations between academics, technical professionals and innovators.
In the first instance, you will focus on three exciting projects: accelerating the use of AR/VR in mental health service provision working with specialist SMEs; supporting the establishment of a social care testbed to evaluate data-driven and tech-enabled care solutions; and fostering inclusive growth through by supporting local residents to become entrepreneurs. As the role progresses, you will work with HealthTech Design Studio colleagues to identify, attract and work with SMEs, managing a portfolio of projects to drive growth in the Liverpool City Region.
You should have a degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant professional experience.
The post is available on a fixed term basis from 1st April 2025 until 31st March 2029.
Interviews for this role will take place during the month of January 2025.
Although the university has a hybrid working system, we expect that the applicant appointed to this role will work more than 60% on campus.
