Summary of the role
This exciting position is involved in all aspects of looking after the tree stock across the Exeter campuses, which have a huge variety of trees in diverse environments including ornamental specimens and woodland settings.
This climbing position is a key member of the Arboricultural team working to the highest industry standards, best practice and safety management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to have a direct influence on the safety and presentation of the campus, working with veteran and champion trees as well as planting trees for the future. You will work with the Arboricultural manager to come up with innovative solutions and tree management practices to the many different environments that vary from a busy campus to woodland settings.
You must have a passion for trees and take a sympathetic approach to their management. You will be supported in developing your skills and knowledge and be able to develop a relationship with the circa 10,000 trees on campus, working on them for long term benefit.
