Faculty / Directorate
The Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities (ADH) is home to many of DMU’s creative disciplines and humanities subjects and is one of the UK's leading Higher Education providers of creative disciplines. Working in a busy administration team, we provide a professional support service to approximately 5000 students and 300 members of staff across our 3 main buildings; the award-winning Vijay Patel Building, the Clephan Building and our Performing Arts Centre of Excellence.
Role
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join the faculty. As Partnerships Co-ordinator you will provide a professional administrative support service to the faculty’s partnership and commercial programmes. You will manage and co-ordinate programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Working with the administrative team, you will liaise closely with partner institutions and students and create and maintain positive communications and relationships. You will be responsible for some of the more complex administrative functions within the team including registration, re-registration, committee servicing, student records maintenance, resolving queries and data entry checking and compliance. You will be required to work efficiently and accurately with a high level of attention to detail, and acquire specialist knowledge of procedures and regulations. You will also provide others with advice and guidance.
You will be expected to liaise closely with people at all levels including students, academic staff and partners and directorates.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have administrative experience in a busy environment and an ability to forge good relationships with stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills and good problem-solving abilities. The role holder should feel confident providing advice, coordinating activities and delegating work to others. You should have excellent written skills and ideally some experience of committee servicing. Previous experience of working in an administrative role within in a Higher Education setting would be advantageous.
