We seek a committed and visionary leader to head research on Sustainable Agriculture and Biodiversity and act as Head of our Agriculture Health and Environment Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving initiatives that secure the production of food and agricultural products for a growing global population while protecting our living environment and conserving natural and agricultural biodiversity. This role is pivotal in aligning our efforts with Sustainable Development Goals focusing on sustainable land management, food security, and social equity. The successful candidate should be a leading international scholar capable of leading and managing a diverse group of researchers and research infrastructure including licenced glasshouses designed for climate change research, an insectary, cutting-edge chemistry, microbiology and molecular biology and microbiology laboratories and access to high-performance computing facilities. Our strong and established network of global partners in the developing world provides unique opportunities for context-relevant research in challenging, real-world contexts.
