About the role
It is a really exciting time for the Funding Support Team, with an expanding portfolio of Research and Knowledge Exchange projects and a widened remit supporting key activities across the University, this is your opportunity to get involved and help shape the future of the team.
The team are seeking an enthusiastic, detail orientated person with a keen eye for finances as this will form a large part of the role, taking responsibility for several externally funded budgets. You may specialise in a particular funder, e.g. Innovate UK, but you will support other areas as needed.
While financial control will take up a large proportion of this role, you will also take on responsibility for other key project co-ordination activities, such as organising project meetings and the associated paperwork, preparation of legal documents i.e. collaboration agreements, and the development of marketing material or other promotional activity.

About you
This opportunity would be perfect for the type of person who loves working with a spreadsheet, who isn’t fazed by large numbers and who enjoys the challenge of interrogating data to ensure compliance and accuracy. You must have experience of successfully managing and delivering research and/or knowledge exchange projects, ideally with experience of external funding.
You will be highly organised and be able to juggle projects at varying stages. You can proactively manage multiple responsibilities, with the ability to dip in and out of tasks seamlessly. You must be a tenacious problem solver, who forward thinks and can plan your time accordingly.
It would be an advantage if you have worked in Higher Education before, or a similar large organisation where you were able to follow complex processes and understand the needs of the wider organisation.
