We have a fully funded Research Assistant/Associate position available in the laboratory of Professor Julia Cordero.
You will contribute/ make a leading contribution to a project studying adaptations of the adult intestine and its microenvironment in health and disease using Drosophila as a primary model system with translation of some aspects of the projects into mouse models. Candidates with prior experience in Drosophila research, RNA biology, biochemistry, bioinformatic analysis and/or intestinal organoid work are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
This position is full time and funded for up to 24 months.
Funding is available until end of my Wellcome Fellowship (start of February 2028).
