Bayes Business School

The PhD programme at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), City St George’s, University of London is offering 15 PhD studentships comprising full tuition fee waiver plus a maintenance grant for four years (which for 2024 entry was £21,237 p.a.), starting in October 2025. Studentships also offer funding for attendance at selected conferences.

Funding

Studentship funding for: UK students, EU students, international students, including:

  • Full tuition fee waiver
  • Stipend: £21,237 per annum (rising in line with UKRI stipends) for full-time study over 4 years
  • A PhD studentship award is also available for Black British students as part of our initiative to address the underrepresentation of Black British students in postgraduate research and throughout academia.

Applications and deadlines

  • To be considered for one of the studentships you must submit a full online application by 9 February 2025 (high quality applicants may receive fast-tracked offers before this date). Studentships will be allocated by a panel of senior academics on the basis of outstanding academic achievement and research potential.

Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) is among the global elite of business schools that hold the gold standard of triple-crown accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 rated Bayes 5th in the UK for Business and Management research. In total, 92% of our research was rated as world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*).
