We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and a professional manner to join our busy Deanery Team. If you enjoy liaising with students, external and international organisations and senior clinical staff then this post could interest you.
Applications are invited for the position of Electives Administrator based in the Deanery Team of the Education Division of the School of Clinical Medicine on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The role oversees both the Cambridge University incoming Medical Electives programme in Addenbrookes Hospital, and the outgoing Electives programme undertaken by 300 Year 5 Cambridge medical students.
You will be the first point of contact for the incoming elective students, many of whom have not been to the UK before and play an important role in helping them to settle in and have a positive experience. You will co-ordinate the processes which enable students to work with Clinicians in Addenbrookes Hospital and ensure all administrative and accommodation arrangements are in place. For the outgoing elective programme you will support Year 5 Medical student in planning and attending electives elsewhere in the UK and ensure all of the administrative process run smoothly including ensuring risk assessments are completed by all students.
This interesting and varied role involves regular communication with students and both internal departments and external organisations, ensuring that partnership arrangements with external organisations are co-ordinated. There is regular liaison with students and staff at all levels both in the UK and overseas and a professional, positive and calm approach is essential.
