The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.
We have a vacancy for three Pharmacovigilance Assessors
Make a difference for animal and public health and the environment.
As a pharmacovigilance assessor within the Pharmacovigilance Team, you will contribute to the VMD's aims and objectives by monitoring reports of suspected adverse events and lack of efficacy following use of veterinary medicinal products, in order to ensure that the benefit/risk balance of these products remains positive.
Qualifications
Degree as a Veterinary Surgeon, Veterinary Nursing qualification or a Scientific Degree
Memberships
MRCVS for Vet Surgeons and Vet Nurses
Experience required:
A substantial body of relevant experience is required for this post as assessor at grade SSO. An in-depth practical understanding of factors affecting the safety of medicines, for example, work in medicinal product development or work in regulatory affairs for a pharmaceutical company or in an industry that is closely related.
