The James Watt Nanofabrication Centre (JWNC) undertakes fundamental, applied and commercial research, development, prototyping and pilot production using advanced nanofabrication techniques, collaborating with over 90 different national and international universities and research institutes and working with just under 300 companies from 28 countries around the world. Key capabilities of the Centre include plasma processing, electron beam lithography, photolithography, thin film deposition and metrology.
This position is that of a technician specialising in micro and nano fabrication process development/quality assurance but also engaging in a wider remit within the Centre. The successful candidate will carry out and document processing work as specified by the JWNC Research Engineers in lithography, plasma processing, metallisation and metrology.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and is offered on an open ended (permanent) basis.
