The Faculty of Law, in association with Pembroke College, invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the post of Associate Professor of Competition Law to commence on 1 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is full-time and, upon completion of a successful review, permanent. In exceptional cases, the title of full Professor may be awarded on appointment.

The successful candidate will be both a member of the Faculty of Law and a Tutorial Fellow at Pembroke College. The person appointed will join one of the largest and most distinguished groups of legal scholars in the world. The appointee will have, or be well on the way to establishing, a record of internationally recognised scholarship and research and will be required to provide a high standard of research-led teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the supervision of research students.

The Faculty is looking to appoint someone who will produce outstanding research and who will deliver teaching in Competition Law at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For the College, teaching is sought for one of the following subjects: Contract Law, Land Law, Trusts.

In making this appointment, the University and the College share the goal of developing and strengthening the research and teaching capacities and capabilities of the Faculty of Law and the College, as well as contributing more generally to the goal of maintaining the University of Oxford as a leading centre for research and teaching in Law and Legal Studies.
