About us
This role is based within the Faculty of Social Sciences & Public Policy, which contains a wide range of academic departments carrying out research into some of the most pressing and significant issues facing society on a regional, national and international scale.
The Senior Research Operations Officer plays a key role within the Faculty research team, which provides support and funding to research bids and operations across the SSPP Faculty, in addition to developing a research strategy for the Faculty.
About the role
This role provides vital, dedicated, operational support within a fast-paced, tight-knit and high-performing team. You will provide efficient operational support for business processes, events planning, and information management, including maintaining Faculty research SharePoint sites and webpages. You will be proficient with IT, including database usage and the Microsoft Office suite.
You will liaise with key stakeholders across the Faculty, in order to help facilitate internal research funding awards. You will monitor the shared inbox used for general enquiries regarding Faculty research funding, process and policy.
Additionally, you will provide dedicated support to the Impact stream of our Faculty research strategy. A strong team player, you will play a key role in supporting excellent performance within the Faculty research team.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract
