The School of Arts & Creative Industries are looking for an individual with a good honours degree and higher degree, Ph. D. desirable, in Art Psychotherapy, plus significant practical and research experience, to provide learning, teaching, and assessment within the academic discipline of Art Psychotherapy. You will also be required to undertake research/scholarly activity and/or consultancy and where necessary establish and maintain effective liaison with external organisations.
This post is available as an Academic Contract (PhD essential) to contribute to the School’s growing research activity alongside teaching, OR as Teaching, Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) contract designed to enable staff to focus their work on industry engagement alongside teaching.
You must be able to demonstrate strong academic experience of course leadership, curriculum design, delivery, assessment and quality assurance of learning and teaching; you must be willing to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and demonstrate experience of postgraduate supervision. Excellent theoretic understanding of Art Psychotherapy is essential as is an understanding of current and emerging platforms and practice and social, political and economic movements and culture within the field. You will apply a flexible and collaborative approach to working and the dissemination of best practice.
