Student Recruitment Officer

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: available until October 2025

We are looking to recruit a Student Recruitment Officer, within our Student Recruitment and Admissions team (SRA) at the University of Edinburgh.

The Opportunity:

This offers an exciting opportunity for a creative individual wishing to further their career in student recruitment in a varied and stimulating role. You will work as part of a team to design and deliver recruitment activity to meet the University’s strategic recruitment objectives, focusing on the UK undergraduate market.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), and is fixed-term, until October 2025, to cover a secondment by the current postholder. 

The salary scale for this post is £33,882 to £39,105 per annum (pro rata for fixed term period).

Your skills and attributes for success: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience presenting to a range of audiences – in-person and online.
• A strong customer-focus and ability to be sensitive to the needs of potential students from diverse backgrounds. 
• Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise and meet tight deadlines. 
• Ability to adapt to changes to workload and commitments. 
• An understanding of current UK undergraduate higher education issues, including widening participation.
