The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic, international, multidisciplinary team working in the area of translational research for genetic skin research, neuromuscular diseases and other rare disorders. You will be based within Dermatological Sciences and within the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Centre at the Translational and Clinical Research Institute.
You will be instrumental in the development and operation of the Rare Disease Recruitment Portal (RDRP), helping to establish a national Rare Disease Trial Accelerator Platform (RD-TAP) for a number of rare diseases in the UK facilitating fair recruitment to clinical trials in the UK. You will also support the development of rare skin registration with partner organisations such as the National Disease Registration Service. As part of this role you will also attend paediatric and adult outpatient clinics for patients with rare skin diseases and will be involved in multi-disciplinary clinics and discussions within the dermatology team.
You should have a Medical degree, GMC registration and license to practice in the UK or able to obtain within 6 months.
