The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a talented and highly motivated Senior Project Manager for the CRUK Glasgow RadNet Centre to ensure seamless coordination across all activities, maintain strong engagement with partners, and lead efforts to drive the Centre's objectives forward.  The post holder will play a pivotal role in developing and executing operational strategies, elevating our external profile, and facilitating clear and effective communication with both team members and partners. They will take the lead in collaborating with existing and potential partners to design, negotiate, and implement robust, achievable project plans that align with our strategic objectives.

The CRUK RadNet Centre Glasgow is a multidisciplinary endeavour that will link up and provide world class translational infrastructure for a broad range of clinical and non-clinical researchers, enabling them to generate an internationally leading radiotherapy research pipeline that connects discovery science to clinical trials and back again. The overall aim of the CRUK RadNet Glasgow Centre is to understand the causes of resistance to radiotherapy, identify biomarkers that identify patients at highest risk of recurrence after radical radiotherapy, and maximise the chance of cure by intensifying treatment using novel technological and biological strategies. Building on our unique strengths in preclinical cancer models, the CRUK RadNet Glasgow research programme will focus on cancers of unmet need including glioblastoma, head & neck cancer, lung cancer (including mesothelioma), pancreatic cancer, rectal cancer and primary liver cancer.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the operational delivery of this major research programme. The CRUK RadNet initiative comprises a number of organisations including the Universities of Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge, UCL and the Institute of Cancer Research along with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and other Scottish Health Boards, multiple major cancer hospitals and several SMEs and charities. The job holder will be expected to engage successfully with this level of complexity.

The job holder will be accountable for the operational delivery of the project. They will be line managed by the University of Glasgow as part of the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences' School of Cancer Sciences team but will report, and be accountable to, the CRUK RadNet Glasgow Centre Director.

The post holder will also be the key contact for communications with other CRUK RadNet partners and will be expected to build and develop relationships with equivalent staff at sites across the UK.
