Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN), John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 9DU
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join us within the Oxford Centre for Functional MRI of the Brain (FMRIB), reporting to Professor Karla Miller. Our group develops, validates and applies novel MRI techniques for basic and clinical neuroscience.
This project involves development of machine learning methods for mapping the relationships between quantitative MRI and microscopic histology in the same tissue samples. The postholder will use existing datasets in rodents and humans to train models that can predict histological features from input MRI data.
The post holder will be expected to take an independent and proactive role in managing the research process, maintaining and setting up collaborations, and generating new research and grant opportunities.
Please see the 'Job Description' (via the 'Apply' button above) for further details on the role, responsibilities, and selection criteria, as well as further information about the university and how to apply.
This post is full time and fixed term until 12th July 2026.
Only applications received before midday 12:00 on Monday 9th December will be considered.
Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
