This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
The Turbidites Research Group (TRG) are seeking a highly motivated and experienced numerical modeller to work with us on developing numerical modelling of turbidity currents. The ultimate aim is to model how turbidity currents build submarine fans over geological timescale and to investigate the relative importance of allogenic and autogenic controls on fan construction. The successful candidate will be expected to publish results in leading, international journals and present their work, both at academic conferences and at our international sponsors meetings.
