The Student Services Directorate delivers high-quality, student-focused support that enables our students to achieve their full potential. We place students at the heart of what we do, support their wellbeing, and ensure they have timely access to a range of professional services.

Student Services provides support to students via the following services:

  • Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Inclusion and Disability
  • Academic and Study Skills
  • Sport
  • Student Engagement
  • Student welfare and pastoral support 

We are recruiting for a Systems and Reporting Manager to provide leadership across Student Services for systems development, data analysis and reporting across all departments but with a particular focus on the development of a systems and reporting infrastructure to support student engagement services.

About the role
The Systems and Reporting manager will provide specialist support across Student Services and lead on projects related to systems improvement and development. The role includes:

  • Developing the student engagement systems and management information strategy.
  • Developing and delivering approaches to insight reporting to enhance targeted university support for students who are not engaging to the levels we would expect them to do in their studies.
  • Delivery of a calendar of management information reporting to the Student Services Leadership team.
  • Management of evaluation and service improvement projects across Student Services departments.

Ideal candidate
If you have experience in the development and implementation of information systems, preferably with project management experience, then we would like to hear from you. You will be skilled at working with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating and delivering projects to agreed specifications and timescales. You will also have the ability to undertake complex data gathering and statistical analysis, with experience of writing reports, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations to senior teams.
