Warwick Applied Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage and provide leadership for a portfolio of research grants, ensuring projects are successfully delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with relevant regulations.
This will include managing, reporting and monitoring project activities, providing budgetary oversight and advice, managing project-related recruitment and appointment, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The postholder will also manage the preparation of grant applications to ensure compliance with funder terms and conditions, and assist in the provision of costings.
The post is part of the Directorate Operations Team which is comprised of a group of supportive and experienced project management staff. This role will have leadership responsibilities within the team, potentially including line management and leadership of a working group or critical area (for example, health and safety, ethics, data management).
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
Candidates should have significant research management, and finance experience in a Higher Education organisation. They should be highly numerate with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. They should have a high level of understanding of research compliance and data management, alongside an ability to work independently and accurately whilst managing a varied workload. It is desirable that candidates have worked with funders and managed grants in the medical or health fields.
