Our dedicated Teaching Fellow team are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment.

The Role

As a Senior Teaching Fellow in Practice Education, you will support nursing and nursing associate education at our London Campus. You will lead high-quality practice education placements for students in London and the South of England, collaborating with other academic colleagues to enhance the student learning experience.

Duties include:

  • Leading the development, maintenance, and quality monitoring of NHS and Non-NHS placements in London and the South of England.
  • Forecasting and allocating students to placements in these regions.
  • Supporting students and staff to ensure high-quality practice learning experiences.
  • Contributing to and leading core activities that support student practice placement learning in London and the South of England.

Qualifications Required

  • Active and live registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council  
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership 
  • A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education.

You will have proven experience in teaching Nursing/Nursing Associate topics at higher education levels 4-7, demonstrating best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment. Highly organized, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, you will enhance 'active learning' pedagogy.

As an experienced team leader with digital fluency, you will possess high cultural awareness and effective communication skills with diverse backgrounds. Innovation and collaboration are crucial, requiring the ability to generate and implement ideas, work independently and as part of a team, and engage in flexible working methods.
