Are you an experienced careers, recruitment or employability professional, committed to supporting students to successfully progress into graduate level employment by providing high-quality careers advice, training and coaching?
The University of Central Lancashire London (UCLan London) is a new and ambitious, teaching-led provider of undergraduate education, primarily aimed at a widening participation and an adult learner student body.
Based in East India Docks, UCLan London students study subjects related to Psychology, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Public Health and Computing. The institution is in its infancy, having opened its doors in January 2024.
Continued growth in demand for our courses has led to the opportunity to introduce Employability Support to our professional services.
The Employability Team offers students and future alumni careers guidance and employability support during and after their studies.
We are currently implementing an ambitious strategy to support students to gain the skills they need for graduate career success and / or progression to postgraduate study, and adapting our curriculum so building and understanding Employability skills are of a key focus.
We expect to expand the support we offer to our students and as we develop our service, the scope of the role may change and grow, so you will also need to be adaptable and flexible.
If you are an experienced Careers Consultant or graduate recruitment specialist who is keen to support students to progress to graduate employment and who shares our belief in the transformative nature of education, then we would like to talk to you about opportunities at UCLAN
You will have an honours degree and ideally relevant professional accreditation in Careers Guidance/Coaching or previous experience of careers work in an HE is setting.
This is a permanent post, and we will consider both full time and part time applicants.
To apply, please send your CV with a cover letter outlining how you meet the essential and desirable criteria to Callum.Tasker@london.uclan.ac.uk via the 'Apply' button.
