Professor Edward Avezov is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Post-doctoral Research Associate, to join his Lab in the UK Dementia Research Institute based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
As a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, you investigate the intracellular processing of Alzheimer's disease amyloid precursor proteins at suborganellar, organellar resolution. This research aims to enable the development of intervention strategies for reducing early processes of amyloidogenesis.
The postholder will develop research objectives for analysis. Key responsibilities of the postholder include performing advanced live-cell imaging techniques, including 3D super-resolution and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM).
Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams to advance understanding of neurodegenerative processes related to Alzheimer's disease will be essential.
