The full-time starting salary is normally £51,703.00 per annum, with progression available in post to £56,197.00 per annum.

New and exciting opportunities are available to join our Paramedic Science course team at Birmingham City University. We are seeking innovative, ambitious and inspirational candidates to join our friendly team. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate significant academic and clinical experience in Paramedic Practice and an in depth understanding of the specialism to enable the development of new knowledge. Candidates must be able to demonstrate independent decision making and the ability to plan and prioritise own workload and that of others.
The role will require experience of leading a team in a busy academic environment and sharing your knowledge effectively to learners. It will be preferable to show experience of leading/collaborating on research and enterprise projects. It will be desirable for the successful candidate to demonstrate experience of establishing external partnerships and have external recognition.
The postholder will support teaching and learning activities across Paramedic Science and the wider College using research informed teaching and learning strategies to include design and delivery of skills and simulations, use of Anatomage, professional and academic skills, basic life support and interprofessional learning. Other responsibilities will include personal tutoring, mentor training, research supervision, providing academic and placement support for students and clinical partners and play an active role in the recruitment of our students.
Applicants must hold a degree and be working towards a Masters or Doctoral level study and able to demonstrate evidence of on-going post-registration professional development with a desire to positively impact the student experience. Candidates will ideally be registered with either the HCPC or NMC.
