Join the University of Sheffield for an outstanding opportunity in groundbreaking drug development research. You can contribute to the fight against antibiotic-resistant bacteria by studying the structural biology of flap endonucleases (FENs). We seek an experienced scientist (structural biologist) to explore carry out structure determination and explore FEN-inhibitor interactions using NMR techniques.

You will join a team of researchers led by Prof. Jon Sayers, which includes structural biologists dedicated to identifying new drugs to treat disease. The team has access to brand new protein purification and analytical services, modern labs, and the range of equipment and facilities required to conduct innovative research. We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in a relevant area, as well as demonstrable experience in flap endonuclease inhibitor characterisation research. As this role involves biological structure determination by NMR, it is essential that you have proven expertise in the field.
