About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with appropriate disciplinary experience, for the post of Lecturer, Assessment Advisor, with a focus on Assessment and Feedback.
In the last year, King’s Academy launched an ambitious project focussing on Transforming Assessment for Students at King’s, supported by a team of Assessment Advisors working closely with Faculties to provide expertise in enhancing assessment and feedback practice.
Building on the success of this initiative, we are looking to expand our team and are advertising for an additional x4 (four) Assessment Advisor positions. These roles will support the Faculty of Dentistry and Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy, Faculty of Natural, Mathematics and Engineering Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Please note, the allocation of Advisors to faculties will be determined following the interview stage and through further discussions between the panel and with candidates.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to move into or progress in an educational development role while specialising in the area of assessment and feedback.
Please note of the four positions, we currently have funding for x1 role on a permanent basis (advertised under separate advertisement). x3 (three) roles are advertised on a Fixed Term basis until 31st July 2026 in the first instance, though we intend to seek further funding to make these permanant roles beyond July 2026.
Interviews are likely to take place either towards the end of December 2024 or early January 2025.
We strive to enhance and develop the potential of all educators who support education - from early-career to experienced faculty and those in leadership roles - through structured professional development, mentorship, and evidence-informed practices.
We encourage applications from candidates who have experience from both within and outside of the Higher Education sector where they can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities can be found in the Job description.
This is a full time post, and you will be offered an fixed term contract until 31st July 2026
