The role
The International Student Recruitment team at the University of Surrey is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join as the International Officer for the Middle East and North Africa. This role focuses on increasing applications and enrolments from international students in this dynamic region.
As the International Officer, you will support the development and implementation of a strategic plan to boost applications and enrolments from the Middle East and Africa. Key responsibilities include building relationships with international schools, managing a network of recruitment agents, attending recruitment events, and organising on-campus activities.
About you
We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in international student recruitment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing overseas recruitment and a comprehensive understanding of the international recruitment sector, both from a commercial and cultural perspective.
You will be confident in delivering presentations, managing complex projects, and organising events, with a strong proficiency in IT skills.
International travel will be a key component of this role, so applicants must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel up to 12 weeks per year.
What we can offer
In addition to salary, you will receive a yearly incremental pay rise, a generous pension, relocation assistance where appropriate, flexible working options, access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes and supportive family friendly benefits including an excellent on-site nursery.
