Technical Analyst within the Translational Modelling Hub at Imperial College London, you will play a vital role in a project.About the role
As a Technical Analyst within the Translational Modelling Hub at Imperial College London, you will play a vital role in a project focused on assessing the impact of the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) activities on malaria public health outcomes. By applying an individual-based mathematical model, you will help quantify the effectiveness of past PMI investments and explore various prospective scenarios to guide future strategic planning. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact global health policy, working closely with partners such as the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and PMI.
What you would be doing
In this role, you will apply an established malaria transmission model to estimate the impact of PMI investments across multiple countries. You will calibrate and analyse the model to produce key outcome estimates, such as cases averted, deaths prevented, and healthy life years gained. Your responsibilities include developing prospective investment scenarios, performing comparative analyses, validating outputs against historical data, and documenting assumptions and results. You will also design accessible reports and presentations for diverse audiences, contributing strategic insights to improve PMI’s future malaria control efforts.
