The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) seeks a Head of Apprenticeships to lead our growing apprenticeship provision.

Based at the historic Madingley Hall, this leadership role ensures our programmes deliver exceptional learning experiences while meeting Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) regulations, Ofsted standards, and University expectations.

You will oversee a dynamic team, manage key relationships with employers, academic staff, and apprentices, and champion innovation to align our programmes with evolving workforce needs. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will enhance compliance, performance, and quality.

Key Skills and Experience

We are looking for an experienced leader in apprenticeships with a proven ability to deliver compliance, foster partnerships, and lead teams. Experience preparing for Ofsted inspections or ESFA audits is essential. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills are crucial, alongside knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework.

This role involves Regulated Activity under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, as it may include working with apprentices under 18. The successful candidate must undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. As part of our commitment to safeguarding, shortlisted candidates will complete a criminal record self-disclosure form prior to interview.
