Part time hours considered up to a maximum of 0.6 FTE/ 21.9 hours per week.
Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
To cover business needs, the postholder will need to be able to cover at least
0.4 FTE, 2 days per week/14.6hrs.

About the role
As a Senior Research Engagement Network (REN) Programme Officer you will support the Sussex REN leadership team in managing the Pan-Sussex Diversity in Research Engagement Network.
The network started in 2023 with funding from NHS England and focuses on increasing diversity in research participation, working with underserved communities and aligning the work with the Sussex Health & Care Research Partnership, an initiative led by the Brighton and Sussex Medical School, NHS Sussex and research partners across the region.
You will play a role in the management, planning and delivery of the network and advance initiatives that aim to increase diversity, inclusivity and community engagement in heath and care research.
Tasks will include organising meetings, contributing to discussions and taking minutes, monitoring core REN activities, preparing reports for funders and local partners organisations.
Creative approaches are welcomed in this role and the post holder will have the opportunity to use their skills to plan how we communicate to different audiences using different media.
