The University of Buckingham has a unique atmosphere, unlike that of any other higher educational institution. Despite being one of the UK’s smallest university and the only independent university to hold a Royal Charter, Buckingham has staff from over 60 countries, making it a truly distinctive work environment. Whichever of our locations you find yourself working in, you will be sure to feel a part of our friendly community. Our size enables us to foster a very personalised, supportive, inclusive and collaborative environment, with lots of opportunity for development, something which we are very proud of.
The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.
From the beginning of their course Medical Students use their ePortfolio to collect evidence of their progression towards the required GMC outcomes for graduates. They will collect written and clinical assessments and reflective practice, to demonstrate their development as a trainee doctor. Their eportfolio will allow them to provide evidence of their learning throughout the course in a contextual, constructive and collaborative way through Personal and Professional Development plans, careers thinking, meetings with their Personal Tutors and Educational Supervisors, Supervised Learning Events, reflective reports and extracurricular personal achievements.
By working consistently at their portfolio it will be a comprehensive record for them and their examiners of how they have developed and improved during their course from trainee to junior doctor.
The e-Portfolio Administrator will support the Students to ensure their evidence is suitably uploaded, catalogued and ready to be assessed at each progression point.
