The Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at Cambridge (https://www.msm.cam.ac.uk) is hiring an Application Scientist to join our Cambridge Royce Institute team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building partnerships with industry, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs) to create and manage short-term projects addressing critical technology needs in film deposition, device fabrication, and characterisation. By supporting the Royce capabilities and the Royce Technology platform the Physical Vapour Deposition and Characterisation Facility at Cambridge you will help drive forward cutting-edge solutions.

You will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office suite and knowledgeable on grant application process and financial systems. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills, have a high level of attention to detail as well as being self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines. You should be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with the Royce network.
