The Role
Do you have an interest in the ageing population and in helping them remain as independent as possible?
We are looking for an individual with a robust background in statistics evidenced by a strong publication record. Ideal candidates should have proven track record of analysing data both cross-sectionally and longitudinally (evidenced by publications).
As a member of the team, you will analyse large complex datasets using advanced quantitative methods to answer policy and clinically relevant questions. You will be experienced in biostatistics/epidemiology and will be able to apply longitudinal/panel data methodology. Ideally you will be experienced in the manipulation and management of such datasets, and in the application of advanced methods. In addition, you will have experience of writing for a range of audiences to promote knowledge exchange and some understanding of and commitment to health research.
Candidates should have a post-graduate qualification in statistics (masters level as minimum) AND/OR a professional qualification (i.e. CStat) AND/OR relevant experience in epidemiological analyses.
A successful candidate will join us at the Population Health Sciences Institute at Newcastle University and collaborate with colleagues of international standing.
